Accounts are linked through Meta and TikTok's own OAuth. Your creators keep their passwords, and the data you read is the data the platform reports.
Numbers you can bring to a client call
Platform dashboards show cumulative totals and three days of history. Neither helps you answer the only question that matters on a client call: what did this month actually produce. Connected accounts here are measured as deltas, day after day.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a Business or Creator account?
Yes, for Instagram. The official Graph API only exposes insights for Business and Creator accounts, which is also what lets us read watch time and demographics.
Why are my first-day numbers zero?
The 24-hour and 7-day views are deltas between snapshots. The very first snapshot of an account has nothing to compare against, so the deltas start from the second day.
How many accounts can I connect?
One Instagram plus one TikTok on Solo, 10 on Starter, 30 on Scale, unlimited on Empire.
What if a connection expires?
Expired or revoked connections are flagged per account with a reconnect action, so a silent sync failure does not go unnoticed for weeks.
Is this the same as the competitor watchlist?
No. The watchlist tracks public accounts you do not own. My Accounts is for accounts you control and connect, which is what unlocks private insights like watch time and demographics.
How far back does the history go?
Snapshots are kept as a rolling history per account, which is what lets you compare this week to the last, and this month to the previous one.
Can I download my own posts?
Yes, through the official API, including for accounts you connected yourself. Useful for re-posting an old winner on another account.
Does connecting an account slow anything down?
No. Syncs run in the background once a day per account, and the interface reads the stored snapshots rather than calling the platform live.
